These towering cactus “trees” are amazing to be near! Though you might not realize that inside they have a tough skeleton, it’s like scaffolding that keeps them upright. Saguaros are an icon of the southwest and only grow at certain altitudes, which is why when you are driving, you suddenly stop seeing them. To have them in your yard is like being in a magic forest!
